The Hotel Nest- und Bietschhorn is located in Ried, a small and charming hamlet just outside Blatten. It is situated in the heart of the Lötschental in a sunny and quiet location, directly on the cross-country ski trail and only 4 minutes by car from the valley station of the Lauchernalp mountain railroads. It is an ideal starting point for all sporting activities. The "Ried" post bus stop and several free parking spaces for hotel guests are located directly in front of the hotel.
Access by public transport.
The north-south axis Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon takes you safely and comfortably to Goppenstein station every hour from Bern or Brig. In Goppenstein you have a connection to a post bus to the Lötschental. The journey time from Goppenstein to Ried is approx. 15 minutes, the "Ried" stop is directly in front of the hotel.

Arriving by car.
From the north, take the A6 highway from Bern to Spiez. Here the cantonal road branches off in the direction of Kandersteg. After loading your car easily and quickly onto the train at the car transport station in Kandersteg, you can drive through the Lötschberg tunnel in just 15 minutes and arrive comfortably in Goppenstein.

From the south, take the Rhone Valley highway from Lausanne or the cantonal road from Brig to Gampel/Steg.
From Steg and Goppenstein, the well-maintained road leads directly into the Lötschental. The road is also easy to drive on in winter. Winter passes are required for the months of November to April.
