Words from Lötschental

Due to the landslide disaster in Blatten and Ried in the Lötschental, our house, a life's work of several generations, was completely destroyed and buried deep under rubble.

Our team and our families are all safe. But of course we are all deeply shaken and endlessly sad. We are now taking day by day to realize this situation and to sort ourselves anew. We are supported by many comforting expressions of solidarity and find strength in believing in the future - for the Lötschental and for us.

We would like to thank you, dear guests, for your many years of “hospitality” and the memories you share with us. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to answer all emails and questions immediately - thank you for your understanding.

Our room categories.

On most weekends we have a minimum stay of 2 nights.
Summer season 5.6. - 2.11.2025

In spring 2017, we completely renovated 10 of our 15 rooms, which were classified as 3* comfort.
The individual design of the hotel rooms was influenced by the building structure of the house and materialized with high-quality floor coverings, warm wood panelling, modern brick walls, tasteful decorative fabrics and furniture from the 150-year history of the house. You can expect a completely new bathroom feeling, douche à deux in white Corian. Spacious bathrooms with rain showers. The new larch wood windows offer a wonderful view of the imposing mountains and the magical nature of the Lötschental. If you still need other views, a flat-screen TV awaits you in the new rooms as well as free WiFi reception throughout the house.

On the 4th floor in the sloping roof you will still find our popular small budget double rooms with shared shared bathroom and 2 cozy single rooms with private bathroom.

With the Lötschental Card you can travel free of charge on the Postbus between Gampel/Steg-Fafleralp and on the Wiler-Lauchernalp cable car (in summer).

Standard double room.

Cozy double room, 15m² to 20m² area, 2 comfortable twin beds (90x200cm) or a grandlit (160x200cm), parquet floor, flat screen TV & WLan, modern bathroom with Corian rain showers, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer.

Different boutique materialization of the rooms: some rooms of this category are equipped with historical wooden furniture of the Valais mountain hotel industry, others with more visible old wood walls or also with larch wood walls possible.

Double room Bietschhornblick.

Large (family) double room, 21m² - 25m², south-facing with view of the Bietschhorn, 2 comfortable twin beds (90x200cm), armchair or sofa bed (140x200cm), parquet flooring, flat-screen TV & WiFi, modern & spacious bathroom with Corian rain shower, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer.

Different boutique materialization of the rooms: some rooms of this category are equipped with historical wooden furniture of the Valais mountain hotel industry, partly with larch wood furniture & walls possible. 90x200cm beds are available in all rooms.

Budget attic double room.

Small double room, 12m² area, with king-size bed (160x200cm) or separate single beds (90x200cm) in the sloping roof on the 4th floor (without elevator). With WLan, washbasin and hairdryer. Shared shower and toilet are located next to the room on the floor. Ideal for short and/or family stays.

Historic single room.

Cozy single room in the sloping roof on the 4th floor, 12m2 area. Furnished in fir wood, 1 comfortable twin bed (90x200cm), WLan, functional furnishings and bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer. The single rooms are furnished with historic wooden furniture from the Valais mountain hotel industry.

Children, our guests of tomorrow. In our small, family-run hotel, you and your children are in good hands.

In the Bietschhornblick room category we have a sofa bed (140x200cm), in the standard rooms we can add a baby crib and in the budget category the children can sleep in their own room. Small and cozy, our room offer for families. Please contact us directly to make a booking so that we can arrange the available rooms according to your wishes.
